Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our energetic team. Responsibilities - Coordinate and schedule shipments, ensuring efficient routing and timely delivery of freight. - Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and vendors to provide updates on shipment status. - Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to track shipments and manage logistics operations. - Analyze shipping data to optimize routes and improve overall efficiency. - Maintain accurate records of shipments, including shipping documents and freight bills. - Assist with shipping and receiving processes as needed, ensuring compliance with company policies. - Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when interacting with clients and team members. - Utilize AS400 systems for data entry and retrieval related to logistics operations. - Collaborate with 3PL providers to ensure smooth transportation processes. Requirements - Previous experience in dispatching or logistics is preferred. - Strong understanding of shipping and receiving processes. - Proficient in using phone systems for effective communication. - Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions based on logistics metrics. - Familiarity with freight operations and terminology is a plus. - Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. - Strong verbal communication skills to interact professionally with various stakeholders. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
