Role Description J & R Hall Transport Inc. is seeking a full-time Dispatcher to join our team on-site in Abbotsford, BC. The Dispatcher will be responsible for managing driver schedules, coordinating shipments, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining seamless communication with the Operations department and drivers. Key day-to-day tasks include route planning, leveraging satellite tracking systems, addressing driver or customer inquiries, and ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards. The role requires strong organizational skills to adapt to changes in schedules and to resolve logistical challenges efficiently. Qualifications - Experience in logistics and route planning, with a strong understanding of LTL and Truckload transportation systems. - Proficiency in satellite tracking systems and logistics software for tracking and managing shipments. - Strong communication and customer service skills to work effectively with drivers, the Operations team, and clients. - Problem-solving and organizational skills to manage scheduling and handle real-time logistical challenges. - Ability to work on-site and adapt to a fast-paced setting. - Knowledge of transportation regulations, including compliance and safety requirements. - Prior experience in the transportation or logistics industry is an asset. - High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in logistics or transportation management is a plus.
