Loader/Swamper– Abbotsford, BC – Full-time – $20.50 per hour

Job Summary We are currently seeking a Swamper/Loader to join our Mission Collections team, which includes curbside recycling collection, recycle plant support, and general yard labor. The core of the work will be dedicated to curbside collection trucks. Swampers are responsible for assisting drivers to collect residential recycling and deposit it at a processing depot.

Position Description

Collect curbside materials from residential buildings, businesses, and other facilities.

Load and unload recycling trucks.

Maintain daily records of pick‑ups.

Perform repetitive tasks including heavy lifting up to 55 lbs (25 kgs).

Observe safe work practices.

Perform duties in all weather conditions (hot, cold, rain or snow).

Pick up refuse in other areas as required.

Dispose of curbside collections according to set policies and procedures.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills&Qualifications

Safety‑minded approach to daily tasks.

Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.

Punctual, reliable, team player.

Client service and public interaction skills– written and verbal.

Ability to read and write to record pick‑ups and maintain daily records.
