Location: Abbotsford, BC V3R 1P2

Work location: On the road

Salary: $36.60 hourly / 40 hours per week

Terms of employment: Permanent, full time

Responsibilities

Load and unload goods

Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials

Perform emergency roadside repairs

Perform pre‑trip, en route and post‑trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle maintenance

Perform preventive maintenance

Receive and relay information to central dispatch

Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption

Tarp and ensure the safety and security of cargo

Transport and handle dangerous goods

Qualifications&Certifications

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Driver’s license: Class 1 or Class A

Experience: Will be trained; no prior experience required
