Warehouse Associate (Abbotsford)

Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic distribution center. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring productive warehouse operations, including order fulfillment, shipping, receiving, and inventory management. This position offers opportunities to work with heavy equipment and various warehouse management systems, contributing to the smooth flow of goods within a fast-paced environment. Duties - Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, and order pickers to load, unload, and transport materials safely and efficiently - Perform order picking and packing to fulfill customer orders accurately and promptly - Manage shipping and receiving processes, including verifying shipments and maintaining accurate records using systems like AS400 or warehouse management software - Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling of goods to prevent damage - Maintain organization within the warehouse by stocking shelves and ensuring proper storage of materials - Conduct routine inspections of equipment and report any mechanical issues or safety hazards - Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure stock accuracy - Support manufacturing or construction-related tasks as needed, utilizing mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance or setup Qualifications - Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, or order pickers - Strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes including shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, and inventory management systems (e.g., AS400) - Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and basic maintenance - Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods during shifts - Prior experience in manufacturing or construction environments is a plus - Familiarity with warehouse management systems and order picking procedures - Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accurate order fulfillment - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while adhering to safety protocols This Warehouse Associate position is essential for maintaining efficient warehouse operations and supporting overall supply chain success.
