Cake Decorator/Baker (Clearbrook)

Job Summary We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Cake Decorator to join our Vegetarian bakery team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cake artistry, food presentation, and delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves, Baking, designing and decorating cakes for various occasions, ensuring each product meets high standards of quality and visual appeal. The Cake Decorator will work closely with the baking team to produce beautiful, delicious cakes that delight our customers and enhance their special moments. Must have 1 to 2 years of experience and Level 1 Food safe. Duties - Decorate cakes according to customer specifications, including piping, fondant work, and intricate designs - Prepare cake bases and fillings in accordance with recipes and food safety standards - Assist in baking and food preparation tasks as needed to support the bakery operations - Ensure all decorated cakes are presented attractively and packaged properly for delivery or pickup - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the decorating station and work area - Follow food handling and safety procedures to ensure hygiene standards are upheld - Interact with customers to understand their decoration preferences and provide excellent customer service - Keep track of inventory levels for decorating supplies and notify management when supplies need replenishing Skills - Proven experience in cake decorating, with a strong portfolio showcasing various techniques - Knowledge of food preparation, baking, and kitchen safety protocols - Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients - Familiarity with food handling regulations and food safety standards in a bakery or restaurant environment - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail - Experience with food industry equipment such as mixers, piping tools, and decorating supplies - Creative flair for designing visually appealing cakes that meet customer expectations - Basic understanding of packaging techniques to ensure product quality during transport or display This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about baking artistry and delivering memorable culinary experiences.
