Lowbed Driver (Abbotsford)

Overview We are seeking a reliable and skilled Lowbed Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting heavy equipment, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the condition of vehicles and cargo. This role offers an opportunity to work with heavy equipment and contribute to the efficient operation of our logistics department. Candidates with experience in commercial driving, forklift operation, or automotive repair are highly valued. Duties - Safely operate company vehicles, including trucks and trailers, to transport heavy equipment to various locations in the Lower Mainland & Washington State. - Load and unload heavy equipment, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols. - Conduct routine inspections of vehicles before and after trips, reporting any maintenance issues promptly. - Assist with vehicle maintenance or minor repairs as needed, leveraging automotive repair skills. - Maintain accurate delivery logs, vehicle records, and trip/load documentation. - Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations during transportation activities. - Coordinate with dispatch staff to ensure proper loading, unloading, and scheduling of deliveries. - Operate heavy equipment when required for loading or unloading cargo. Requirements - Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. - Experience in commercial driving and heavy equipment transportation preferred. - Ability to operate forklifts and other heavy equipment safely. - Knowledge of automotive repair or basic vehicle maintenance is a plus. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for documentation purposes. - Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently. - Physical ability to lift heavy loads and perform manual tasks related to freight - 3-Years Prior experience working with lowbed companies is mandatory.
