We are a high-volume Recycling Facility carrying out a goal of Zero Waste and have 9 locations that span across the Lower Mainland, Sea to Sky, and Vancouver Island. Currently, we are looking for: - Bottle Sorters 1 x Part time This employment opportunity is in our Abbotsford location (750 Riverside Road, Abbotsford, V2S 7P6). WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? - Physically fit and able to lift up to 40 lbs repeatedly - Comfortable using Android tablets - Comfortable operating various equipment, including forklifts (training can be provided) - Able to work as part of a team and independently when needed - A problem solver who takes initiative - Strong commitment to personal and team safety - Previous warehouse or yard experience is a bonus - Forklift experience or certification is an asset WHAT YOU WILL GET TO DO… Reporting directly to managers, SORTERS will work in a team to perform tasks such as: - Greeting customers, taking in and sorting products for recycling, and issuing payments - Sorting, counting, and tracking empty beverage containers - Assisting in cleaning and maintaining the yard - Supporting shipping and receiving activities - Operating forklifts and other equipment (as trained) - Other tasks as assigned by managers or supervisors As your skills grow, we offer further training for additional responsibilities.
