St. John Brebeuf High School is located in the western region of Abbotsford, just off the highway at the Mt. Lehman exit. Tucked up against Gardner Park and Fishtrap Creek, SJB is within walking distance to Fishtrap Creek Trail and Discovery Trail. SJB is close to shopping and transit, and biking and hiking trails abound. The famous Tulip Festival takes place in Abbotsford along Highway 1, and Abbotsford is also the home of the Vancouver Canucks farm team. Abbotsford is one of the most affordable communities in the Lower Mainland of BC.SJB is a community of approximately 400 students from Grades 8‑12. Start Date: September 1, 2026 Status: Part time (0.14 FTE) This is a part‑time job‑share position with an existing experienced staff member. Responsibilities include: RESPONSIBILITIES
Providing instruction in textiles Performing appropriate assessments and providing feedback to students and parents Working collaboratively and cohesively with staff for the benefit of the students Working with the Learning Support department to support students with exceptionalities Implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)QUALIFICATIONS&REQUIREMENTS
Valid teaching certification in British Columbia Experience with textiles and teaching textiles is an asset Strong classroom management and differentiated instruction skills Commitment to Catholic education and the values of faith‑based learning Ability to collaborate with staff, students, and parents to foster a supportive learning environmentAPPLICATION PROCESS
