Part-Time Pastor for Seniors Role, Abbotsford British Columbia

Become the part-time Pastor to Seniors at Sevenoaks Alliance Church, where you will provide compassionate pastoral care to older adults. This role is designed for someone invested in supporting families and fostering a spiritually nurturing environment, with flexible weekly hours of 20 or 30.

You will engage directly with seniors, offering spiritual guidance during home visits and hospitalizations. Conducting funerals with empathy, and planning community gatherings, will be central to your responsibilities. Your mission will be to create spaces where seniors feel appreciated and supported.

Key Responsibilities:• Deliver pastoral care through home and hospital visits • Conduct funerals and offer emotional support to families • Plan and run events for community engagement • Recruit volunteers to assist with programs • Create a welcoming environment for seniors

Requirements:• Faithful follower of Jesus Christ with an active spiritual life • Pastoral care experience with seniors or in ministry • Strong communication and people skills • Event planning and organizational abilities • Commitment to pursue necessary ministry credentials
