As we continue to expand across Western Canada, we are strengthening our technical sales and service team to support customers with reliable solutions, exceptional service, and deep nutritional expertise. The Role In this role, you will take ownership of our Western Canadian market - BC, AB, SK, and MB -combining technical knowledge with a proactive sales mindset to help customers improve performance and efficiency. You will build strong relationships, uncover opportunities, and work independently while being supported by a collaborative team. You will partner closely with production, QA, purchasing, and senior nutritionists to ensure customers receive exceptional technical support. While premixes remain our core business, you will also help customers evaluate and integrate innovative feed additives, essential ingredients, and specialty blends as part of complete nutritional programs. This position reports directly to the Business Development Manager, who will support your strategy, encourage initiative, and champion strong execution. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES - Comply with all Company policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements. - Represent the company professionally and positively in all internal and external interactions - Work independently while collaborating effectively as a cross functional team member. - Maintain organized, accurate, and audit-ready records and work practices. - Responsible for maintaining a well-organized, tidy workspace. - Performs other related duties as assigned, including holiday relief. - Functions as a team member. - Must adhere and be committed to our company values: hard work, high standards, honesty and harmony. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Sales & Business Development 1. Pursue, develop, and maintain strong customer relationships across BC, AB, SK, and MB. 2. Generate and maintain new premix and ingredient customers. 3. Expand business beyond traditional markets by identifying new opportunities and emerging sectors. 4. Build and manage a strong sales pipeline, converting high‑value prospects into long‑term customers. 5. Represent Nature’s Pride Nutrition at key industry events, conferences, and customer meetings. Customer Support & Technical Service 6. Provide daily technical support to customers, including feeding programs, premix packages, and ingredient strategies. 7. Offer technical advice on premix manufacturing protocols, including ingredient substitutions when required. 8. Communicate promptly with customers and the supervisor regarding quality concerns or complaints. 9. Conduct regular on‑site customer visits to maintain robust working relationships and ensure customer satisfaction. Formulation & Product Development 10. Under the supervision of a senior nutritionist, generate micro and macro premix formulations for input into the company system. 11. Develop functional expertise in Brill Feed Formulation software. 12. Assist in planning, coordinating, and monitoring premix, vitamin, and mineral programs to maximize customer performance. 13. Support customers in evaluating and integrating essential feed ingredients, innovative feed additives, and specialty blends as part of comprehensive nutritional programs. Operational & Cross‑Functional Collaboration 14. Work closely with quality assurance, production, and purchasing to ensure smooth operations and timely issue resolution. 15. Support purchasing by forecasting ingredient needs and qualifying new ingredients or suppliers. 16. Develop strategies to minimize production overruns and incorporate unsold or overrun products into formulations. 17. Assist in preparing operating budgets, capital budgets, and operational plans. 18. Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of market trends, product performance, and industry developments. Pricing & Administration 19. Determine and set pricing based on costs and margins under the direction of the BDM. 20. Handle all incoming requests for quotations and product information. 21. Maintain accurate records, documentation, and communication with internal teams and leadership. WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS - Minimum three (3) years technical experience in the feed industry serving in the capacity of nutritionist, quality assurance and premix technologies. - Knowledge of customer and prospects considered an asset. - Experience with agricultural production systems and animal husbandry. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS - Bachelor’s degree in animal science or related field; specializing in nutrition preferred. SKILLS REQUIRED - Must possess extensive understanding of Canadian Feed Acts and feed regulations - Experience with feed additives, functional ingredients, or premixes is an asset - Proven ability to build relationships, influence decisions, and support customer success - Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills - High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities - Proficiency with Brill Formulation and Microsoft Office - Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel across Western Canada - A self‑motivated, independent, result-driven mindset - A genuine enthusiasm for expanding your technical knowledge and growing within the industry Pay: $75,000.00-$90,000.00 per year Benefits: - Casual dress - Dental care - Life insurance - On-site parking - Vision care Application question(s): - How many years in the feed industry do you have? - Do you have experience with agricultural production systems and animal husbandry? - Do you posses a Bachelor's degree in animal science or related field? specializing in nutrition preferred Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2pjn92
