Warehouse Associate (Abbotsford)

Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting warehouse operations, including order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, and heavy equipment operation. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate various types of heavy equipment such as forklift, cranes. Prior warehouse experience and familiarity with warehouse management systems like are highly desirable. The Warehouse Associate plays a vital role in ensuring efficient inventory management and timely delivery of products. Duties - Operate heavy equipment including forklifts, , cranes, load, unload, and transport materials safely within the warehouse - Assist with order picking, packing, and fulfillment to meet customer specifications and deadlines - Support shipping & receiving activities by accurately documenting incoming and outgoing shipments - Maintain inventory accuracy through proper stock rotation and cycle counts using warehouse management systems - Load and unload goods from trucks, ensuring proper handling of heavy or fragile items - Support manufacturing processes by providing materials or components as needed - Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure safety and operational efficiency - Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment Requirements - Proven experience working in a warehouse workplace or distribution center - Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, and order pickers; certification preferred - Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse machinery and equipment operation - Familiarity with warehouse management systems - Strong physical ability for heavy lifting and manual handling of goods - Experience with shipping & receiving procedures, order picking, packaging, and load & unload operations - Knowledge of manufacturing processes environments is a plus - Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced settings while adhering to safety standards - Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management and order fulfillment tasks Job Type: Full-time Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: - Casual dress - Dental care - Extended health care - Life insurance - On-site parking - Paid time off Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2ptdmp
