Our valued client, a major oil and gas operator, is seeking a Project Manager (FEL2 – Heavy Civil & Mining) to join their Calgary team on a long‑term contract. This role leads an integrated project team through Stage 2 development, driving safety, cost, schedule, and quality performance on capital projects in the $100–300M range. MAIN FUNCTIONS Lead a cross‑functional, integrated project team delivering heavy civil and mining projects in the $100–300M range during Stage 2 (FEL2). Responsible for assembling the project team, driving competitive project performance, managing contractors, and stewarding the project through Gate reviews and early‑phase development. TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES Assemble and lead an integrated project team with accountability for Safety, Quality, Cost, and Schedule Set Gate dates and develop plans aligned with project objectives and operational constraints Ensure FEL2 deliverables are completed on time and meet required quality standards Align stakeholders on project objectives, strategies, concept selection, schedule, cost, and value delivery Drive project competitiveness through structured concept selection and optimization Work with senior technical leads to define scope, risks, and mitigation strategies Develop the Project Road Map and secure stakeholder endorsement Steward project reviews, technical query resolution, and development‑phase budget management Monitor and appraise pre‑FEED/FEED contractor performance and support improvement plans Develop project organization plans and ensure integration of discipline and functional inputs Maintain alignment on project basis documents and execution strategies Calgary‑based role with occasional travel to site SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS BASc in Engineering AND active P.Eng in Alberta (mandatory) Eligibility is not sufficient — must hold P.Eng at time of hire Experience managing capital projects in civil or mining during FEL2/FEL3 Demonstrated leadership and personnel management capability Robust interpersonal and stakeholder‑management skills Proficiency across core project management areas: Execution planning Contracting & procurement Cost estimating Project controls Planning & scheduling Organization design Ability to work across cultures and time zones Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2o6jss
