Events Executive St Andrew’s Hospice, Lanarkshire Full‑time preferred | Term‑time or Part‑time considered A huge chance to support one of Lanarkshire’s most respected charities by generating vital income through schools and community fundraising. The role is a Schools & Community Fundraiser within the dedicated and high‑performing fundraising team. About the Role As a Schools & Community Fundraiser, you nurture and grow relationships with nurseries, primary and secondary schools across Lanarkshire and wider community supporters. You deliver educational outreach, inspire pupils and staff, and represent the Hospice at events and presentations. You support and coordinate flagship fundraising events such as the Wear Yellow Walk, 6K Fun Run, Tinto Hill and Ben Nevis challenges, ensuring they run smoothly and achieve income targets. Ideal for someone organised, confident in engaging with people, and passionate about community impact. Experience in the charity sector is desirable but not essential. Candidates with strong administration, coordination, or community engagement backgrounds will be fully considered. Key Responsibilities Build and develop relationships with schools, nurseries, and community groups. Deliver engaging presentations to pupils, staff, and parents. Coordinate and support major Hospice fundraising events and campaigns. Identify current opportunities for income generation and supporter engagement. Provide excellent stewardship to donors, volunteers, and event participants. Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations, GDPR, and health & safety requirements. Represent the Hospice professionally at events and community activities. About You Key attributes and experience: Robust organisational and administrative skills. Confidence in presenting to groups of all ages. The ability to build relationships and engage with diverse stakeholders. A proactive, positive, and self‑motivated approach. Flexibility to support occasional evening/weekend events. A full driving licence and access to a vehicle. Experience within fundraising, education, events, or community engagement is beneficial but not essential.
