Construction Site Supervisor (Airdrie)

Position Overview: HKC Construction is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to oversee a paving replacement project at a Walmart location. The successful candidate must have strong experience managing projects involving asphalt paving and concrete curb installations. Responsibilities: - Use Acumatica Project management software for daily log - Use Site Docs for Health and Safety Inspections - Supervise daily site operations, ensuring project timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met. - Coordinate subcontractors and site teams effectively. - Manage asphalt paving and concrete curb installation activities. - Complete daily PSI and weekly inspections. - Coordinate with subcontractors for each day’s work. - Take photos and complete daily log documentation. - Communicate daily with the Project Coordinator (PC) regarding work completed and upcoming tasks. - Inform PC in advance of any required inspections (e.g., proof rolling, compaction testing, asphalt/concrete testing) to coordinate with Walmart’s consultants. - Ensure subcontractors perform work safely and maintain excellent site housekeeping standards. - Liaise regularly with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders. - Maintain accurate project documentation and daily reports. Qualifications: - Proven experience as a Site Supervisor, specifically with asphalt paving and concrete curb projects. - Experience managing projects in commercial or retail environments; prior Walmart experience is a solid asset. - Strong leadership and communication skills. - Demonstrated understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and quality control. - Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. - Ability to read and interpret project specifications and drawings. - Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. Contract: - This project has a timeframe from Mid May to end of September.
