Position Summary: The Shipping and Receiving Lead is responsible for overseeing the efficient and accurate receipt of all incoming materials and supplies. This role involves supervising a team of receiving clerks, managing receiving operations, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate is a robust leader with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities: - Supervise and coordinate the activities of receiving clerks. - Ensure efficient and accurate processing of incoming shipments. - Verify and reconcile purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices. - Inspect incoming materials for damage or discrepancies. - Manage inventory levels and cycle counts. - Investigate and resolve receiving discrepancies. - Train new employees on receiving procedures and safety protocols. - Maintain a clean and organized receiving area. - Implement process improvements to enhance receiving efficiency. - Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred. - Minimum of 2 years of experience in receiving or warehouse operations. - Strong leadership and supervisory skills. - Excellent organizational and time management skills. - Proficiency in computer systems and inventory management software. - Ability to lift heavy objects. - Attention to detail and accuracy.
