Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Additional Required Qualifications

Minimum one year experience, in the past two years, in an acute care or emergency department setting at full scope of practice. Ability to perform and document physical assessments, ability to administer medications within the acute care setting. Critical thinking skills, clinical judgement and problem solving. Ability to work as an effective team member, to accept and request direction as required. Effective interpersonal and communication skills. Basic computer skills and strong knowledge and experience using Netcare and Connect Care.Preferred Qualifications

Recent experience with obstetrical patients and / or newborn babies. Wound care education, foot care course, NRP, CAM B. Lead II, Palliative care courses, Non-Violent Crisis intervention, RACE, Completed Indigenous Awareness, N95, It's Your Move.
