Superintendent Subdivision Maintenance (Rocky View County)

Mickelson National Golf Club is currently looking for an energetic, enthusiastic, and hard-working individual to lead our Landscape Team maintaining the Town of Harmony in the following position: Superintendent Subdivision Maintenance The Town of Harmony is a recent active lifestyle community located just east of Calgary. It offers resort style amenities such as Lake and Beach Club, Adventure Park, Pathway Systems, Playgrounds and Sports Fields. Our Subdivision Maintenance Department maintains parks, boulevards, roadways and the lakefront of our residential community. We are looking for someone to lead our Grounds Department running a staff of 11 while being actively hands on in all facets of the operation. This is a year-round position. Reports to: Master Superintendent Duties: · Landscape maintenance in all areas of the community. · Operate all types of mowing and trimming equipment maintaining the residential community. · Training, motivating and supporting a staff of 9. · Weed control and management. · Water and fertilize trees and greenspaces. · Irrigation maintenance. · Tree / Shrub, Specimen Grass / Plant Material management, pruning, mulching and establishment. · Maintaining tree wells and planting beds. · Snow removal. · Skating Rink and Ribbon maintenance. · Maintain a high level of communication and organization. · Ensure quality and attention to detail exists in all work performed (accurate, thorough, and timely). · Demonstrate a positive, friendly, and outgoing attitude always. · Always demonstrate professionalism. · Exhibit teamwork and the ability to work with others to ensure timely completion of tasks. · Create a positive working environment within the department to promote and maintain a high degree of efficiency and morale. · Report all findings of dry spots, disease, weeds, insects and any other imperfections to the Superintendent. · Full time employment with overtime as required. · Ability to work weekends as necessary. · Ability to assist golf course maintenance for major events. Qualifications: · Landscape Maintenance minimum 4 years experience. · Lawncare minimum 4 years experience. · Must posses a valid driver's license.
