Journeyman/woman Welder Carstairs

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components using various welding techniques. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, blueprint reading, and safety protocols to ensure high-quality workmanship in a rapid-paced workplace. The Welder will contribute to the production of ductwork, structural components, and other metal assemblies critical to our projects. Duties Perform MIG, TIG, and plasma cutting welding processes to join metal parts according to specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute welding tasks. Operate hand tools, power tools, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment safely and efficiently. Use calipers and basic math skills to measure materials precisely for cutting and assembly. Rigging and positioning materials using cranes or forklifts for welding or assembly operations. Assist with machining, assembly, and installation of components as required in construction or manufacturing projects. Maintain a clean and safe work setting by adhering to safety standards and protocols. Conduct quality inspections on welded joints and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications. Collaborate with team members on complex projects involving schematics, or structural assemblies. Skills Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, plasma cutting, and general welding techniques. Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing, construction, and fabrication. Experience with rigging, forklift handling, and use of hand tools or power tools. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Knowledge of press brake machines and assembly procedures for metal fabrication projects. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication tasks. Strong understanding of safety procedures in manufacturing or construction environments.
