The Opportunity: Reporting to the Team Leader of Human Resources, the Talent Acquisition Administrator is responsible for assisting with the on‑going cycle of attracting, sourcing, screening and interviewing potential new employees. This position is also responsible for the administration that relates to talent acquisition including posting jobs and ensuring completion of background checks. This role assists the Talent Acquisition Specialist and HRBP’s in delivering high quality candidates for the City of Airdrie.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain relationships with hiring managers and HR team to understand needs, knowledge, skills and abilities for each required job opening
In conjunction with the Talent Acquisition Specialist, conduct interviews and onboard new staff, ensuring a smooth integration process while fostering a positive candidate experience and aligning with organizational culture
Assist with creating job descriptions and/or postings for all new or vacant positions
Assist with resume review, candidate screening and short‑listing for interview process
Handle background checks and follow‑up on completion as needed
Update and complete candidate offer letters
Ensure all relevant information from recruitment process is moved to employee files as needed
Coordinate the distribution of the new hire survey to eligible employees on a quarterly basis (every three months) in accordance with established HR processes
Assist with development and maintenance of all talent management processes
You Bring:
Degree or diploma in Human Resources or working towards, or equivalent years’ experience
CPHR designation or working towards
Talent Acquisition Certification an asset
2 years’ experience in talent acquisition
Previous experience using application tracking system such as Njoyn or similar system
Familiarity with social media, resume databases and professional networks
Familiarity with LinkedIn Talent Solutions to proactively source candidates
Ability to develop and maintain solid relationships
Highly organized and detail‑oriented personality with excellent prioritization and time management skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to learn quickly and move items forward in a face‑paced environment
Ability to have open dialogue and collaborate with team
Self‑motivated with the ability to work autonomously
