Director Of Operations Rocky View County

Insight Global is looking for a Director of Operations to support a top 3rd Party Logistics company in Calgary, Alberta. Reporting directly to the VP of Operations, the Director of Operations will lead and grow the regional business while overseeing multiple distribution centres. The ideal candidate brings proven experience managing distribution operations across cost, productivity, and service, along with expertise in labour relations, including union environments. They have a track record of leading site launches, operational transformations, and supporting client expansion. This individual will translate client agreements into actionable plans, lead performance reviews, and drive a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, while collaborating cross-functionally and partnering with HR on leadership and engagement initiatives. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE -10+ years of operations leadership experience within CPG, retail, or distribution environments -5+ years in a senior leadership role overseeing multiple facilities (ideally within 3PL or distribution) -Proven experience managing end-to-end distribution center performance, including cost, productivity, service, and profitability -Strong background in labour relations, including experience in unionized environments and collective bargaining -Demonstrated ability to win current business, grow client accounts, and support regional expansion -Experience leading start-ups, current site launches, and large-scale operational transformations -Ability to translate client agreements into actionable operational plans while ensuring compliance and execution -Skilled in client relationship management, including leading business reviews, tracking KPIs, and driving performance improvements -Track record of driving a culture of accountability, performance management, and continuous improvement -Experience collaborating cross-functionally (e.g., Engineering, IT, PMO) on operational and process improvements -Solid project management capabilities, including managing timelines, resources, risks, and deliverables -Experience partnering with HR on leadership development, succession planning, and employee engagement NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE -Experience in oil, gas or industrial environments is considered an asset Please Note We may use artificial intelligence tools to assist with the screening, assessment, or selection of potential applicants for this position.
