Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) – Avionics role based in Airdrie, AB. The AME – Avionics will perform inspection, maintenance, repair, and modification of aircraft avionics systems and components in accordance with regulatory and company standards. Daily tasks include troubleshooting electrical and avionics issues, completing required documentation, and ensuring all work meets airworthiness requirements and maintenance schedules. The role involves reading and interpreting technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and maintenance records, while collaborating with other maintenance and engineering team members to resolve complex technical issues. The AME – Avionics will also support continuous improvement of maintenance processes, uphold safety and quality procedures, and contribute to maintaining a clean, organized work environment. Qualifications - Robust aircraft maintenance and aircraft systems skills, with hands-on experience working on operational aircraft. - Demonstrated ability in aircraft troubleshooting and diagnosing avionics and electrical system faults. - Solid understanding of airworthiness principles, regulatory requirements, and maintenance standards. - Valid Canadian AME license - “E” - 3-5 years of relevant avionics maintenance experience is required - Experience in avionics troubleshooting and aircraft electrical systems. - Excellent problem‑solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot avionics and aircraft electrical systems efficiently and accurately. - Experience with direct involvement with DHC‑6 Twin Otter aircraft operations, maintenance, or support is an asset - Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and maintenance manuals. - Commitment to safety, quality, and ethical work practices, with strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy. - Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to maintain detailed, accurate records and work in a fast-paced, on-site hangar environment.
