Consultant Psychiatrist (Airdrie)

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Consultant Psychiatrist to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities - Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients across various age groups, including children and adolescents. - Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs. - Prescribe medication and monitor patient responses, adjusting treatments as necessary. - Collaborate with psychologists, social workers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. - Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations. - Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and treatment strategies. - Provide consultation services to other healthcare providers regarding complex psychiatric cases. - Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with advances in psychiatric practice and research. Skills - Proven experience working with children and adolescents in a clinical setting. - Prior hospital experience is highly desirable, demonstrating familiarity with inpatient or outpatient psychiatric care environments. - Solid patient care skills with a compassionate approach to mental health treatment. - Proficiency in medical terminology relevant to psychiatry and general medicine. - Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data related to patient symptoms, progress, and treatment outcomes. - Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams. - Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy.
