Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well. About the role We''re looking for a Claims Manager - Property Appraisal Team, to join our growing team! What you''ll do here: Lead a team of technical experts in the field of construction, estimate writing, and property loss emergency response, as well as teams that support the claims handling operation. Analyze data and results to assess process efficiency. Work closely with colleagues in supply chain management to maintain a feedback loop that keeps our teams and vendors mutually well informed. Lead and coordinate the activities of the team to achieve profitability, efficiency and customer satisfaction objectives. Problem-solve and innovate to drive continuous improvement of operational processes. Participate in certain national committees. Participate in the development and implementation of your business plan and implement the necessary structures to achieve the department''s objectives. Participate in the preparation of operating budgets. Manage the performance of your team and support the Unit Managers in the implementation of development plans and recovery plans. Be involved in the management of complaints that cannot be resolved by the Unit Managers. Identify training needs and coordinate follow-through. Actively participate in the claims department''s response to weather disasters. What you bring to the table: University degree or any combination of training and experience deemed relevant for the role At least 5 to 10 years of team management experience Strong knowledge of personal and commercial lines and Property loss or liability insurance Excellent computer skills and knowledge.
