Senior Design Engineer, Controls, Substations and Power Plants Locations: Mont-Saint-Hilaire, QC; Quebec City, QC; Montreal, QC; Quebec, QC

Your future role on our team:
Join BBA and put your experience to work by taking an active role in all project stages as a senior design engineer in controls. You will help design control and protection systems for high‑voltage substations and hydroelectric power plants in Canada. You will also take part in onsite work to ensure work quality and system compliance before energization. You will play a key role in managing projects, coordinating with clients and delivering quality projects with the BBA team.

Manage the technical portions of projects (design reviews, costs, schedules)
Review a team’s engineering work for control systems at substations or power plants
Provide coaching and mentoring to a work team

Summary of certifications and job requirements:
University degree in electrical engineering
Available for short‑ and long‑term work assignments at client sites
More than 10 years of experience in control projects at Hydro‑Québec
Knowledge of E3 design software
Advanced English skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in English‑speaking Canadian provinces and internationally; you may need to use English occasionally or daily, depending on current projects
Advanced French skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in Québec
Asset: knowledge of protection‑relay test equipment and onsite monitoring
