Fixed Plant Maintenance Planner (online)
Contract:

About the Role:
We are seeking an (Online) Fixed Plant Maintenance Planner to support maintenance planning for mineral processing facilities and fixed plant assets. This role focuses on online planning, SAP PM data accuracy, and building efficient maintenance schedules to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime. Strong potential for full‑time employment after the contract.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and schedule daily, weekly, and long term maintenance for fixed plant equipment (crushers, conveyors, pumps, screens, mills, flotation, dewatering systems).
Review work requests and create detailed job plans and job packages (BOMs, SOPs, safety requirements, special tools).
Maintain and update SAP PM Work Orders, Master Data, PM Task Lists, and Corrective Task Lists.
Coordinate with parts, procurement, and warehouse teams to confirm material availability and long‑lead items.
Track backlog, PM compliance, shutdown readiness, and work execution progress.
Support maintenance KPIs, reliability initiatives, and continuous improvement across processing operations.
Collaborate with maintenance, operations, engineering, and reliability teams through virtual meetings.
Required Qualifications
2+ years of maintenance planning experience (natural resources / mining industry preferred).
Strong knowledge of fixed plant equipment maintenance and processing circuits.
Proficient in SAP
(PM Work Orders, Master Data, Task Lists).
Able to build and maintain PM and corrective task lists.
Microsoft Excel
Expert; make high level Pivot tables, formulas, coding,&reports.
Ability to read technical drawings and OEM documentation.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Comfortable working fully online
Preferred
Mining industry experience (surface or underground processing plants).
Ontario Mining Common Core Certification (Mill/Process).
Background as Millwright, Industrial Mechanic, Electrician, or Engineering/Technology.
Power BI
– Expert user
Experience creating Purchase Requisitions and working with procurement.
Familiarity with shutdown/turnaround planning and critical path scheduling.

Strong potential for full‑time hire
