Class 1 P&D Driver - Freight Handler, Québec

Job Description Midland Transport is currently seeking a Class 1 P&D Driver - Freight Handler based out of our Quebec City Terminal, QC. The selected candidate will be a self‑starter with a strong work ethic and a “Can Do” attitude. The successful candidate will be responsible for both on‑road deliveries and pickups, as well as supporting warehouse functions such as loading, unloading, and freight handling. This position requires the ability to work efficientlyin a fast-paced environment while ensuring safe operations, timely service, and effective coordination between transportation and dock activities.

Responsibilities

Provide efficient, reliable, and professional service to customers

Work with varying shipment weights and freight handling equipment

Process daily pickup and delivery records

Schedule activities based on daily shipment volumes and customer demand

Drive, operate equipment, and perform duties in accordance with safety regulations, traffic laws, and company policies

Set up the dock for efficient operations

Safely and efficiently load and unload freight, both manually and using equipment

Maintain a clean and functional dock and work area

Qualifications

Education: Minimum High School Diploma

Class 1 driver’s license is required

Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience

Clean driving record&background check

Proven forklift operation experience in a warehouse setting

Strong commitment to working safely in a fast‑paced environment

Ability to collaborate positively with others to achieve common goals

Intermediate French language skills required
