Warehouse Manager (Ottawa) (Quebec)

What you will do: Provide leadership and direction to the warehouse team and hold team members accountable. Oversee daily warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping, receiving, and returns, ensuring compliance with company policies and safety regulations. Monitor inventory levels, conduct audits, and reconcile discrepancies. Supervise and lead staff, including training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions, while fostering a positive work environment. Ensure orders are processed accurately and timely, collaborating with sales and customer service teams. Implement safety protocols and maintain a safe working setting, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other regulations. Liaise with freight companies and customers to determine shipping priorities. Coordinate with logistics partners to ensure timely, cost‑effective shipping and receiving, and manage relationships with suppliers and carriers. Monitor product quality, addressing any issues or defects promptly. Collaborate with the customer service team to resolve customer inquiries related to warehouse operations. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Provide occasional Saturday shifts to catch up on orders, receiving, and inventory prep. What you will bring: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in warehouse management, preferably in the plumbing or HVAC industry. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent organizational and problem‑solving abilities. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations. Proficiency in warehouse management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to lift and move heavy objects, up to 50 lbs. Exceptional customer service skills. Dependable, reliable, and willing to take initiative. Forklift certification or ability to obtain it. WHMIS and TDG certifications are an asset. Existing Vacancy Compensation: $65,000 to $70,000 + 10% MIP Please note: This position requires the result of a satisfactory criminal record check.
