Location : Aurora, Ontario Pay Rate : $26 - $30 per/hr (based on experience) Schedule : Monday – Friday (occasional overtime during peak projects) About the Role We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cabinetmaker to join our growing team. This role involves hands-on work across both custom residential and commercial millwork projects. You will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing high-quality cabinetry from shop fabrication through to final in office installation. Key Responsibilities - Fabricate and assemble custom cabinetry and millwork for residential kitchens, built-ins, - and commercial spaces - Read and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, and client specifications - Operate woodworking machinery including table saws, routers, CNC equipment, and edge - banders - Perform precise hand tool work including fitting, trimming, and finishing - Apply veneers and laminates to cabinet components - Install finished cabinetry and millwork on-site ensuring proper fit, level, and alignment - Conduct quality checks throughout fabrication and installation to maintain shop standards - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Qualifications & Experience - Minimum 5 years of cabinetmaking or millwork experience - Strong background in both residential and commercial projects - Proficiency with woodworking machinery and hand tools - Ability to read and work from detailed shop drawings and blueprints - Solid understanding of sheet goods, hardware, and finishing materials - Experience with on-site installation, including scribing and site fitting - CNC operation/programming experience considered an asset - Trade certification or cabinetmaking apprenticeship preferred Physical Requirements - Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs (team lifts for heavier materials) - Comfortable with prolonged standing, bending, kneeling, and repetitive tasks - Ability to work on ladders and at heights during installations - Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail - Work in a shop environment with exposure to sawdust, noise, and finishes (PPE provided) Work Environment This is a full-time position with occasional travel to job sites for installations. A strong focus on craftsmanship, accuracy, and safety is essential. Overtime may be required depending on project demands.
