Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Myo-Functional Therapist to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments of pediatric patients to identify myo-functional issues affecting speech, swallowing, breathing, and posture Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each child's needs, utilizing evidence-based techniques Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including speech therapists, occupational therapists, and medical professionals to coordinate patient care Collect and analyze data related to treatment progress and outcomes for ongoing case management and research purposes Educate parents and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, strategies, and home programs to support continued progress outside clinical sessions Maintain detailed documentation of patient evaluations, treatment sessions, progress notes, and case management records in compliance with healthcare regulations Stay current with advancements in pediatric myo-functional therapy through ongoing research and career development Requirements Proven experience working with children in a clinical or educational setting; experience in hospital environments is a plus Knowledge of medical terminology related to pediatrics, speech therapy, and patient care practices Familiarity with case management principles and data collection methods for tracking patient progress Background in research within pediatric or related healthcare fields is desirable Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams Experience or training in special education is beneficial for tailoring therapy approaches to diverse needs Commitment to providing compassionate patient care while adhering to ethical standards and best practices in therapy services Pay: $55.00-$65.00 per hour Advantages: In office parking Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2nm7ka
