Bartender/server (York)

Job Overview We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Bartender /server to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for crafting drinks, engaging with customers, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere in our establishment. You will play a key role in enhancing the overall dining experience for our guests. Responsibilities - Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences. - Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including washing glassware and utensils. - Engage with customers, taking drink orders, providing recommendations, and ensuring satisfaction. - Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and managing tabs. - Monitor inventory levels of beverages and supplies, restocking as necessary. - Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and alcohol service. - Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food orders when applicable. - Assist in training recent staff members on bar procedures and customer service standards. - Serve food to guests Skills - Proven experience in bartending or similar roles within the food service industry is preferred. - Strong math skills for accurate cash handling and drink measurements. - Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create a friendly atmosphere for guests. - Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations. - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. - Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members. - A positive attitude and willingness to help others, contributing to a team-oriented team environment.
