Driver Trainer - Student Transportation, Richmond Hill North

Driver Trainer– Full-Time Location: Gormley office, supporting operations across the expanded GTA regions.

About the Role Supports York Region operations by training and teaching employees how to drive company-owned vehicles safely and professionally, ensuring exceptional service and a safety-first culture.

Primary Responsibilities

Drive a school route as required

Complete Driving Assessments

Instruction of Voyago divisional training as required

Licence upgrade training (E and B class)

Participate in outside instructional training programs as required by training school division manager

Qualifications

B or E licence held for a minimum of 3 years

P.R.I.D.E. certified is an asset

Excellent customer service experience

In-depth knowledge of Southwestern Ontario

Good organization and communication skills

Availability to work flexible hours

Knowledge of wheelchair tie-downs and Q-strap

Clean driver’s abstract

Preferred: previous instructional/teaching experience

Preferred: previous driver assessment experience
