Student Transportation Service Planner (Aurora)

Drive the effectiveness of student transportation with Student Transportation Services of York Region. This position emphasizes analysis, route planning, and stakeholder engagement in a team-oriented environment.

You will work closely with York Catholic District School Board and York Region District School Board to ensure safe transportation for over 56,000 students. As a Student Transportation Planner, your role includes optimizing routes, updating data, and communicating with relevant stakeholders, vital for improving service levels.

Key Responsibilities: • Respond to service requests from various stakeholders • Plan and assess school bus routes for effectiveness • Conduct site visits and recommend route changes • Keep student and transportation data updated and accurate • Analyze cost information and assist in reporting

Requirements: • Diploma or degree in transportation, logistics, or geography • 2-3 years of planning or transportation experience • Experience in pupil transportation is advantageous • Valid driver’s license and vehicle for travel • Strong analytical and time management skills
