Warehouse Associate/Forklift Operator (Aurora)

Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate/Forklift Operator to join our distribution team. This role involves managing inventory, operating forklifts and clamp trucks, and ensuring effective order fulfillment within a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical knowledge, experience with warehouse management systems, and the ability to perform heavy lifting safely. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to smooth warehouse operations while developing valuable logistics skills. Responsibilities - Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and order pickers to move and organize inventory efficiently - Assist with order picking and packing to fulfill customer orders accurately and promptly - Manage inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS), ensuring proper tracking and documentation - Perform heavy lifting of goods and materials safely in accordance with safety protocols - Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs or safety concerns - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times - Support warehouse distribution activities by loading, unloading, and storing products as needed - Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents or injuries Requirements - Prior experience in warehouse distribution or logistics preferred - Valid forklift certification and experience operating forklift, clamp truck, and other warehouse equipment - Mechanical knowledge is a plus for troubleshooting equipment issues - Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is desirable - Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and order accuracy - Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy loads safely - Experience with order picking processes in a warehouse setting - Basic understanding of safety procedures related to heavy machinery operation and material handling - Must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail Pay: $21.00 per hour Benefits: - Dental care - Vision care Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2oudb0
