Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef/Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team and oversee daily kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food industry experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role involves supervising kitchen staff, managing food preparation, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality service in a quick-paced restaurant workplace. Responsibilities Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient and smooth operations Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling food costs Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations Develop menus in collaboration with management, incorporating innovative dishes Train and mentor staff to promote professional growth and maintain high performance Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery Monitor kitchen cleanliness and organization to uphold health standards Implement best practices for food handling, storage, and waste management Maintain a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and accountability Requirements Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food service operations Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively Extensive restaurant management experience within the food industry Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in kitchen management Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting Exceptional communication skills for team coordination and customer service Experience with menu development and inventory control is preferred A passion for culinary excellence and hospitality service excellence Pay: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year Education: AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred) Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2ox52c
