Become a Transportation Planner with Student Transportation Services of York Region, focusing on safe and effective school routes for students. Deliver top-notch customer service while handling transportation logistics.

This key position, reporting to the Area Operations Supervisor, involves planning routes for both the York Catholic and York Region District School Boards. You will analyze existing routes and recommend improvements, ensuring that data is up-to-date and accurately reflects transportation needs. Your role includes direct engagement with various stakeholders to optimize service delivery.

Key Responsibilities: • Address inquiries from parents and school admin • Plan, administer, and analyze school bus routes • Design and evaluate transportation routes and conditions • Maintain student and bus data accuracy • Help prepare analytical reports

Requirements: • Diploma or degree in transportation or planning • 2–3 years of relevant planning experience • Experience in pupil transportation is a plus • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle • Proficient in GIS and routing software
