Your new role

The open role is for an Estimator to join the team and report to the Pre-Construction Manager. They will be an integral part of a team of five working out of our client's beautiful North Toronto office. The successful incumbent will not be just working with sub-trades and creating estimates, they will be working with the pre-construction team on bids and tendering, be client-facing when needed, and see projects further through than just punching numbers. The Estimator will be involved with bid levelling, RFP and scope preparation for sub-trades, budgeting and more. They will work on projects that are predominately institutional, commercial and industrial in nature but will do some smaller civil projects. The role itself will be in office 5 days a week.

What you'll need to succeed

The successful Estimator will have at least 5 years of experience as an Estimator working for a contractor or engineering firm with a focus on ICI or civil projects across the Greater Toronto Area. They will have a graduate level education in a related field or relevant experience. They must be able to work independently and part of a small team, contributing to an overall goal. Communication, orally and written, is imperative to deal with both internal stakeholders and with respective clientele and sub-trades. The candidate must be able to travel to the office 5 days a week.
