Housekeeper/Room Attendant (Aurora)

At Holiday Inn Express & Suites Aurora, we’re all about travel that’s simple and smart. We are looking for Housekeeper/Room Attendant, Laundry and Houseperson – to make sure our rooms and suites are always ‘fresh and welcoming’ for our guests after a busy day – creating a haven for them to escape and relax in or get a bit of last-minute work done. We’ll need a little flexibility with your time so we can serve our guests the best we can. The individual joining our team will have to be flexible and be crossed trained for the laundry department. Key Responsibilities - Cleaning Duties: Perform cleaning tasks in guest rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and public areas, ensuring all spaces are tidy and well-maintained. - Bed Making and Linen Changes: Change bed linens, make beds, and ensure that all bedding is clean and properly arranged. - Restocking Supplies: Replenish room amenities such as toiletries, drinking glasses, and writing materials, ensuring that guests have everything they need during their stay. - Inspection and Reporting: Inspect rooms for damages or maintenance issues and report them to management promptly to ensure guest satisfaction. - Laundry: Wash, Dry and fold linens & terry, ensuring that stock levels are adequate for daily operations. - Guest Interaction: Respond to guests’ special requests for items like cribs, cots, or extra towels in a timely and professional manner. - Adherence to Standards: Follow housekeeping departmental standards and procedures to maintain a high level of cleanliness and service. - Must be available on Weekends! Skills and Qualifications - Attention to detail and a strong work ethic. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Good communication skills to interact with guests and staff. - Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks efficiently.
