Heavy Duty Cleaner, Aurora

As a Heavy Duty Cleaner, you’ll be responsible for consistently maintaining the cleanliness of all interior and exterior areas of the property to ensure owner and guest satisfaction.

Shift Schedule:

Monday to Friday 7:00am to 4:00pm

Compensation:

$19.00 / hour

Responsibilities

Cleans and services restrooms.

Sweeps, vacuums, and mops floors and stairways.

Gathers and disposes of rubbish and waste materials by hand or with powered equipment.

Observes premises and equipment for needed repairs or safety hazards and reports them.

Dusts blinds, furniture, file cabinets, door frames, railing, picture frames and windowsills.

Polishes furniture, metal, and chrome using appropriate compounds.

Maintains an inventory of cleaning and toiletry supplies.

Washes walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, mirrors, and fixtures using step and extension ladders.

Cleans grounds and parking lots of litter, glass, or other debris.

Loads and unloads supplies and moves heavy furniture and equipment using dollies, handcarts, or power equipment.

Replaces light bulbs and fuses.

Performs ground maintenance including snow removal and salting of front entrances.

Assists in moving garbage bins when needed.

Maintains and cleans compactor room.

Performs related work as assigned in relation to building functions; duties may change per management discretion.

Skills&Qualifications

Knowledge of standard janitorial methods, practices, tools, and equipment.

Knowledge of proper use of chemicals, fertilizers, and pesticides.

Ability to follow instructions.

Ability to operate janitorial tools, equipment, and supplies.

Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety rules.

Knowledge of building and property security procedures.

Ability to explain instructions and guidelines to others effectively.

Ability to prioritize the work of others.

Physical Requirements This role requires standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods, working in outdoor environments, and may involve exposure to unpleasant fumes and hazardous conditions.
