Production Supervisor (Aurora)

Hiring: Production Supervisor Location: Aurora, Ontario Job Type: Full-Time Work Model: On-Site Only Shift: 12-hour rotating continental shifts (7am–7pm / 7pm–7am) We are looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to lead plant floor operations within a high-volume plastics and packaging manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for candidates with strong manufacturing leadership experience who can drive production performance, safety, quality, and operational efficiency while managing production teams in a fast-paced industrial setting. Key Responsibilities: • Lead and oversee all production activities during assigned shifts • Ensure production schedules are executed on time and within operational targets • Coordinate mold changeovers, machine startups, and line readiness • Monitor production metrics including downtime, scrap, efficiency, and output • Enforce GMP, SOP, and plant safety standards across all team members • Supervise, coach, and develop production associates and team leads • Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback to teams • Manage staffing levels and workstation coverage during shifts • Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives including 5S • Troubleshoot production, process, and equipment-related issues in real time • Work closely with Quality and Maintenance teams to resolve operational challenges • Maintain accurate shift reports, ERP entries, and production documentation • Ensure smooth communication during shift handovers • Support preventative and emergency maintenance activities • Promote a strong culture of accountability, teamwork, and performance Required Qualifications: • 2–3+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing workplace • Experience supervising production teams within a plant setting • Strong understanding of production workflows and manufacturing operations • Experience managing shift performance, KPIs, and production targets • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities Preferred Experience: • Plastic injection molding experience • Mold setup, changeovers, and troubleshooting knowledge • Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement experience • Experience working with ERP systems in manufacturing environments • Exposure to high-volume manufacturing or automotive environments • Forklift or crane certification is an advantage • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus Physical Requirements: • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs • Full range of motion including bending and twisting • Comfortable working in an industrial plant environment Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2p9eru
