YCDSB Itinerant Music Educator Role, Aurora

Join the York Catholic District School Board as an Itinerant Music Educator, where you'll inspire students in music from FDK to grade 8 while traveling between schools.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to assess and evaluate a comprehensive music program aligned with the Board’s curricula. You may also have the chance to teach Drama/Dance, fostering an inclusive creative atmosphere. Your leadership in music will allow students to explore fundamental skills in a supportive and engaging environment.

Key Responsibilities:• Assess and evaluate music programs for grades FDK - 8 • Implement the Board-approved music curriculum • Travel to various schools as an itinerant teacher • Teach Drama/Dance if included in the schedule

Requirements:• Primary/Junior/Intermediate Division qualifications • Preference for candidates with Music qualifications • Demonstrated knowledge of music teaching methods • Ability to instruct vocal and instrumental music • Strong interpersonal skills for student engagement
