Description
Job Type:
Contractor Location:
Remote
Role Description If you’re a senior accountant who thrives on precision, judgment, and analytical rigor, this is a unique opportunity to contribute directly to how the next generation of AI systems reason through accounting concepts, financial reporting standards, and real-world business scenarios. We’re looking for experienced accounting professionals who understand financial statements, journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, revenue recognition, audit readiness, internal controls, tax considerations, and management reporting. You’ll challenge advanced language models on accountant‑specific topics suchas GAAP application, adjusting entries, month‑end close, variance analysis, lease accounting, inventory valuation, cash flow classification, and financial statement interpretation to strengthen model accuracy and reasoning. Upload your resume, complete a short AI interview to understand your background, experience, and interest in the role, and then wait for follow‑up communication within a few days with next steps and onboarding details.
Your Profile
7+ years of professional accounting experience, with significant hands‑on work in financial reporting, month‑end close, reconciliations, audit support, or accounting operations.
Deep knowledge of core accounting principles, including GAAP, accrual accounting, journal entries, financial statement preparation, and account analysis.
Strong understanding of internal controls, audit documentation, variance analysis, revenue recognition, expense classification, and accounting policy application.
Proven experience interpreting financial data, identifying discrepancies, and explaining accounting judgments clearly to business stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience in reviewing complex accounting work for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with professional standards.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field required; CPA, CMA, master’s degree, or equivalent advanced accounting credential strongly preferred.
Previous experience with AI data training, annotation, or evaluating AI‑generated technical content is a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate AI‑generated accounting explanations, calculations, journal entries, financial statement analyses, and scenario‑based responses for accuracy, completeness, and professional judgment.
Challenge advanced language models with realistic accounting prompts involving financial reporting, audit procedures, reconciliations, internal controls, and accounting policy interpretation.
Review and refine AI‑generated prompts and responses to ensure they reflect sound accounting logic, clear communication, and appropriate professional standards.
Provide structured feedback on model errors, reasoning gaps, unsupported assumptions, and areas where responses may misinterpret accounting rules or business context.
Shape AI communication standards by helping models explain accounting concepts clearly, accurately, and appropriately for professional and business audiences.
Support benchmarking efforts by designing, reviewing, and validating accounting tasks that measure model performance across varying levels of complexity.
Identify edge cases where AI systems may produce technically plausible but incorrect accounting conclusions.
