General Labourer (Seasonal) (Barrie)

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Seasonal Labourer to help support our team throughout the busy summer months. We are looking to hire for May 2026 through to September 2026, with the possibility of permanent, year-round employment based on performance and business needs. This role involves supporting various operational tasks, ensuring smooth workflow, and maintaining a safe work environment. Responsibilities - Epoxy installation - Support the setup and breakdown of work areas for different projects or tasks - Set up mixing area, organize product, mix material to exact measurement, track usage when complete - Perform general manual labor including lifting, carrying, and moving supplies or equipment - Floor preparation: hand grinding, planetary grinding, vacuuming, sweeping, joint filling - Maintain cleanliness and organization of work sites to promote safety and efficiency - Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times to prevent accidents or injuries - Support team members with additional duties as assigned to ensure project completion Qualifications - Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) - Strong work ethic with reliability and punctuality - Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately - Prior experience in manual labor or construction is a plus but not required - Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team - Willingness to work outdoors and adapt to changing priorities Job Requirements - Valid Driver's License (G or G2) - Must have a reliable method of transportation to arrive on site on time each day - Tooling: You must be comfortable operating floor and hand grinders, paint brushes, paint rollers, mixing sticks, shop vacs/dust extractors, spike shoes as well as all other tooling and/or PPE associated with epoxy floor coatings and concrete polishing - Willingness to travel - Able to work weekends when necessary - Education: Secondary School (Preferred) - Working At Heights (Preferred) Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal Contract length: 4-5 months Pay: $21.50-$25.50 per hour Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2ogf5d
