Host and Support Server (Seasonal), Toronto

The Distillery Restaurants Corp., creators of Cluny Bistro, El Catrin, Pure Spirits Oyster House&Grill, Madrina Bar y Tapas, and Distillery Events are seeking warm and energetic people to serve up great food and a cup of good cheer during our busiest time of the year! Our Hosts and Support Servers will ensure that every customer feels welcome and experiences a smooth service throughout their visit.

Vacancy Status: This position is for an existing, open vacancy.

What you will be doing as a Host:

Managethe flow of guests to maximize seating capacity.

Accurately take reservations and modify the status of guests in OpenTable.

Escort guests to their table, engage them in conversation and seat them accordingly.

Ensure that the front entrance, host stand and surrounding areas are fully stocked and free from clutter and debris.

What you will be doing as a Support:

Assist with food running, ensure that plates arrive at the proper guest.

Answer questions about food, beverages, wine and other restaurant functions and services when necessary.

Inspect all tables for proper mise en place, cleanliness and completeness.

Practice a high level of floor awareness and clear/clean as required.

What we would like you to bring to the restaurant:

EXPERIENCE.

Minimum one (1) year experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment is preferred but not required as training will be provided.
