Description
Support adults in chronic poverty as a part-time Social Work Coordinator this summer with the Bridges Team in Regent Park. Engage directly with community members to promote empowerment and well-being.
This position requires a dedicated individual to coordinate relief services, advocate for program participants, and assist in goal-setting for adults aged 18-60. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for community service, provide a trauma-informed approach, and have prior experience in multicultural environments. This role combines teamwork, administration, and direct community support.
Key Responsibilities:• Provide relief services and support to adults • Coordinate food bank operations and meal distributions • Manage administrative duties for program efficiency • Build strong connections with community participants • Assist in facilitation of community engagement activities
Requirements:• Age range of 15 to 30 years at job start • Legally entitled to work in Canada • Familiarity with chronic poverty issues • Strong computer skills, including social media proficiency • Commitment to client confidentiality
