Job Description We are seeking a skilled
2nd Cook
to support daily kitchen operations, food preparation, and buffet/banquet service. This role focuses on quality execution, food safety, and efficient service in a fast‑paced, member‑focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare menu items according to standardized recipes and chef direction
Maintain full mise en place and support timely food service
Assist with buffet, banquet, and food station setup, service, and breakdown
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and Toronto Public Health standards
Clean and maintain workstations, equipment, and refrigerators
Receive, store, label, and rotate food and supplies properly
Communicate inventory needs and kitchen issues to Chef/Sous Chef
Assist with training junior staff and directing dishwashers as needed
Requirements
2–3 years cooking experience in a comparable F&B operation
High School Diploma required
Works well under pressure in a fast‑paced environment
Physically capable (lifting up to 50 lbs, working in hot environments)
Available for nights, weekends, and holidays
Vacancy:
One (1) Vacancy; This is for the seasonal surge from May to October.
Compensation:
The expected compensation range for this role is
$22.00 to $24.00
per hour. Placement within the range will be based on demonstrated skills, relevant experience, and internal equity considerations.
