About Our Family: We are a warm and thoughtful family with one child, currently 9 months old, who will be starting daycare in mid‑August when maternity leave ends. One parent works long hours outside the home and travels frequently, while the other will transition to a hybrid work schedule after returning in August.
As our family grows and changes, we’re seeking support to help manage the day‑to‑day responsibilities of the household—especially as our child transitions to daycare. We want to create more space for quality family time and reduce the mental load of daily tasks. Our ideal candidate will help by taking care of meal prep, laundry, household organization, and picking up our child from daycare several times a week, providing engaging care until we return home. This support will help us stay focused on what truly matters: spending time together as a family.
We value a calm, organized environment and are looking for a partner who can help create balance and ensure everything runs smoothly as we navigate this busy and exciting time.
Who You Are / What We're Looking For: We are looking for a thoughtful, proactive, and highly detail‑oriented individual who can help manage the many moving parts of our household. You are solutions‑oriented with a natural ability to anticipate needs and solve problems independently. You take pride in maintaining a well‑organized and smooth‑running home while understanding the balance between being hands‑on and giving space when needed.
You’re flexible and able to seamlessly transition between household management and childcare, whether it’s staying on top of household tasks like meal prep and laundry or picking up our child from daycare and providing engaging care until we return home. Your ability to juggle both the practical and emotional aspects of the role, while maintaining a calm and organized environment, will make you an essential part of our family. Above all, you’re reliable, intuitive, and eager to create a positive, supportive space for everyone to thrive.
Key Responsibilities: Family Support&Child Assistance:
Pick up one‑year‑old from daycare 3‑5 days per week after 4:00 PM
Provide engaging, intentional care for one‑year‑old post daycare pickup
Prepare and organize daycare supplies, including clothes, diapers, and snacks for the following day
Provide backup childcare for school closures, sick days, etc. as needed
Date night coverage: Every other Friday, with some flexibility for employee’s preferred day
Opportunities to provide occasional support/travel with the family will be available if employee is interested and available
Household Management&Organization:
Create and maintain household organization systems
Perform daily resets (dishes, tidying, toy cleanup) and prepare home for cleaners every other week
Manage seasonal clothing swaps for child, including tracking size updates, packing away outgrown items (e.g. vacuum sealing), and informing parents when new items are needed
Oversee seasonal décor transitions: bring items out of storage, ensure all pieces are in working condition, and pack away post‑holiday
Prepare and coordinate donation drop‑offs as requested
Assist with packing and unpacking for family travel for one‑year‑old’s items
Proactively change light bulbs, smoke detector batteries, filters, etc. throughout the house
Schedule car maintenance and detailing as needed for one vehicle

Plan and execute healthy dinners Monday‑Thursday (either preparing ingredients or cooking full meals)
Clean kitchen post family dinner and reset for the next day
Prepare snacks and batch breakfasts for one‑year‑old
Keep kitchen space clean and organized, including refrigerator and pantry
Inventory&Errands:
Manage shared supply lists (pantry, fridge, household supplies, toiletries, etc.) and inform family when items are running low
Restock items in a timely manner
General errands (returns, dry cleaning, shopping, etc.) as requested with potential for increased grocery shopping responsibilities in the future
