Job Description– Baker Hourly Rate: $31.99

Probationary Rate: $25.59

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Baker to join our Pastry team. The Baker will be responsible for preparing, baking, and presenting a variety of high‑quality baked goods, including sourdough, loaves, Viennoiserie and other breakfast pastries, while maintaining inventory levels, and following provincial food safety standards. This role requires advanced bread baking techniques, organization, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

Follow and improve recipes as necessary.

Measure and combine ingredients using mixers, blenders, ovens, and other equipment to prepare baked goods (e.g. sourdough, loaves, Viennoiserie, and other pastries).

Prepare and display baked products with attention to quality and presentation.

Test ingredients and finished goods to meet established quality standards and compliance with food safety guidelines.

Maintain accurate records of deliveries, inventory, and production levels.

Clean and restock workstations and sanitize equipment to maintain a safe, organized kitchen environment.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience as a baker or in a bakery environment.

Availability to work overnight/3rd shift (11:00 p.m.– 8:00 a.m., subject to change).

Previous experience in a fast‑paced environment.

Motivated individual with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Enthusiastic, energetic, and positive attitude with a strong desire to learn and grow.
