The ideal candidate will be interested in providing intervention for a broad range of mental health conditions within a pediatric population. Key Responsibilities
Provide psychosocial assessments and case formulation for children and adolescents experiencing behavioural, socio‑emotional, and mental health challenges
Provide individual, group, and/or family therapy
Work collaboratively with caregivers to deliver dynamic, family‑centred interventions
Provide consultation and recommendations to families
Liaise with referring physicians, Boomerang Health clinicians, school staff, and external agencies
Apply evidence‑based approaches to intervention
Manage a varied caseload while meeting required timelines
Maintain complete and accurate medical records using the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Master’s degree or PhD from a program recognized by the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers
Relevant coursework and clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and families
Knowledge of child and adolescent psychosocial development and psychopathology
Experience and Skills
Experience working with pediatric mental health concerns
Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team and work independently
Strong critical thinking and problem‑solving skills
Proficiency in evidence‑based intervention approaches
High attention to detail in all aspects of work
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage children, youth, and adults
Effective time management and organisational skills
Demonstrated adaptability and resilience in challenging situations
Experience with virtual care platforms
