University of Toronto Posted 10/14/2025 The Department of Cell&Systems Biology in the Faculty of Arts&Science at the University of Toronto invites applications for a full-time tenure stream position in the field of Animal Morphogenesis. The appointment is at the rank of Associate Professor with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2026. We seek outstanding applicants with a track record of demonstrated excellence in applying cell biological approaches to address fundamental questions in animal morphogenesis that will enhance and complement the strengths of the Department of Cell&Systems Biology in genomics, developmental biology, cell biology, molecular biology, and bioinformatics. Candidates must employ cutting edge approaches in imaging, mechanobiology, and/or systems biology to address questions of tissue morphogenesis during animal development. Qualifications and expectations

Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Biology or a related field (e.g., Molecular&Cellular Biology, Systems Biology, Synthetic Biology, Developmental Biology, Genome Biology, Genetics, etc.) and a clearly demonstrated record of excellence in research and teaching. Candidates will have an established international reputation and be expected to sustain, lead, and maintain a vigorous, innovative, externally funded, and independent research program.Application materials
